Washington D.C. has a rich history of punk and hardcore bands that pioneered both genres while also bringing political and social issues to the forefront. Just outside of D.C., in the suburbs of Northern Virginia, Celebration Summer is informed by those very roots and writing their own politically charged anthems in a Post-Trump America. Their brand of late 80's/early 90's melodic punk is unpolished and channels the spirit of Leatherface.

Virginia band Turnover announces their fifth full-length album ‘Myself in the Way’ will be out 04 November via Run For Cover Records. Along with the album's announcement, Turnover have shared the title track ‘Myself in the Way’ featuring vocals from Brendan Yates of Turnstile. Along with ‘Myself in the Way,’ the 12-track album will include the previously released singles ‘Mountains Made of Clouds’ and ‘Wait Too Long,’ which arrived with home-video style footage created by the band along with friends Blair Kemp and Kyle Lamb.
Punk band No Trigger is excited to announce their forthcoming album Dr. Album, set to be released on August 26th via Red Scare Industries. The band has also shared a new single; the fast-paced “No Tattoos” is out now.
“Dr. Album is the Sgt. Pepper of punk records,” the band shares. “We took a bunch of drugs and made this record while the world stopped. It sort of just poured out of us. A ‘had to get it all out’ sort of scenario.”
