Taxi Driver / Raging Bull

Dear Mr. De Niro,

Do you remember a time when no matter what movie you were in, people already thought it would be great just because you were in it? The days when you teamed up with Martin Scorcese and made classics together? That was of course before you starred in movies that came with jokes about someone’s foreskin or characters named Gaylord Focker. I know, I know… you can’t keep on acting until the day you die and you need to put some money aside for a rainy day now that you still can. But still.

Iron Man 3

Iron Man 3 kicks off with Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) suffering from severe anxiety attacks following his Avengers adventure in New York. Not exactly a comfortable position for the nation’s hero. Luckily he can still count on War Machine aka Iron Patriot (Don Cheadle) for support. Support that will be much needed when facing The Mandarin (a kind of Chinese Osama Bin Laden played by Ben Kingsley) and scientist Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce) who has found a way to hack into the human brain and turn humans into super-soldiers.

Dead Man Down

Noomi  Rapace already made the transition to the States and now director Niels Arden Oplev who helped put her on the map with 2009’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, has followed her for his first American movie, Dead Man Down.
