From four individual parts, with distinct musical pasts but also overlapping histories, a new unified chapter begins with Piroshka and the quartet’s thrilling debut album Brickbat, to be released February 15th via Bella Union.

The four band members are former Lush vocalist/guitarist Miki Berenyi, former Moose guitarist KJ "Moose" McKillop, Modern English bassist Mick Conroy and former Elastica drummer Justin Welch. Today the band are pleased to debut their first track “Everlastingly Yours” on Stereogum.

U.S. Highball - Think Again

Scottish power-pop duo U.S. Highball (ex-The Pooches) have just announced the release of their debut EP Think Again, coming out November 9th on Lame-O Records, with a concurrent cassette release on Fuzzkill Records as well as sharing their first single, "Roppongi Hills, On The Roof".

Trauma

Trauma is being sold as the most extreme movie since A Serbian Film. It’s an easy comparison to make, especially seeing as they took all of that movie’s most disturbing scenes and rehashed them in the first five minutes. In interviews writer-director Lucio A. Rojas has talked about how the extreme violence was necessary to reflect Chile’s history under Pinochet’s dictatorship and how there’s a link to #MeToo. But in the end, Trauma is just another exploitation movie once you get past the movie’s most disturbing moments.
