Local H - LIFERS

LIFERS is the ninth studio album from alt-rock duo, Local H. It’s their first full-length record in five years, and coincides with the band’s 30th anniversary.

Recorded by the legendary Steve Albini (Nirvana, Cheap Trick) and the band’s longtime accomplice Andy Gerber, the record features mixing by J. Robbins, and contributions by an array of respected friends and guests, including Juliana Hatfield, John McCauley (Deer Tick), and John Haggerty (Naked Raygun, Pegboy).

On the genesis of the album, frontman Scott Lucas explains:

Ghost Work - You'll Be Buried With

Indie-punk supergroup Ghost Work shared 'Fake Blood,' the lead single from their forthcoming debut full length. You'll Be Buried With is the band's debut full length, recorded in various locations from Washington DC, Chicago, Seattle, Buffalo and Mendocino. It was mixed by Chris Rakestraw (Danzig, Megadeth, Retox, Deftones) in December 2019.

Jade Hairpins - Harmony Avenue

Jade Hairpins snuck onto the scene in late 2018 with a mysterious 12-inch on Merge Records and a couple of poetic sentences about hiding in trees. The label remained tight-lipped while touting Dose Your Dreams, a truly epic new Fucked Up album released on the same day. Fast forward to 2020, when Fucked Up drummer Jonah Falco and songwriter/guitarist Mike Haliechuk burst out of the proverbial trees with Harmony Avenue, a collection of songs written and recorded in real time. Pop foraging with analog acoustics and electronic landscaping.

Brett Newski - Don't Let The Bastards Get You Down

BRETT NEWSKI’s fourth studio album Don’t Let the Bastards Get you Down is a call to arms against whatever destructive forces we may find ourselves battling, from our individual struggles with toxic relationships, low self esteem, loneliness, and apathy to the more global challenges facing us in 2020: The erosion of face-to-face human connection, the breakdown of the proverbial village, the destruction of the planet, and the myriad ways in which our social media addictions amplify these problems.
