Murder In The Front Row

Featuring interviews with everyone from Metallica and Slayer to Megadeth and Exodus, ‘Murder In The Front Row’ tells the story of how thrash metal exploded in the Bay Area back in the 80’s. United by their hatred of all things glam and spurred on by the likes of Judas Priest, Black Sabbath and other European metal bands, the Bay Area bands were all about playing fast and loud while causing as much mayhem as they could along the way.

Spice - Spice

As a collective thought, Spice’s self-titled debut album offers a deliberate isolation of pain as interpreted through different vehicles.  The record diverts from a singular mood, tempo, or delivery, instead focusing on orchestrating emotional drain as single impulses—fast, slow, driving, simple, and layered—that coalesce in their machinations.  Spice’s sound pulls from the sense of melody and drive inherent to their hometown Bay Area pedigree, peppered with modernity and awash with an anthemic haze.
