The Jacklights - Drift

Taking inspiration from the likes of Jawbreaker, Descendents, Alkaline Trio, The Bombpops, and others, Boston melodic punk band The Jacklights play energetic, hook-driven punk/pop-punk with thoughtful lyrics and a 90s alt rock influence. "Drift" is the band's second EP, a follow up to their self-titled debut released in 2020. Alt-weekly Dig Boston said of Drift: "Potentially to be one of the top records to come out of Boston in 2021."

Settle Your Scores - Retrofit

Set for release on August 20 via Mutant League Records, 'Retrofit' reunites the band with producer Nick Ingram at Capital House Studio (Hawthorne Heights), who previously recorded their debut album.

"The Way Things Used To Be" follows on the heels of the recently released single/music video "Meant For Misery.".

Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes - Sticky

Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes’ opening night headline set at Download Pilot unleashed a ferocious release of pent-up energy and pure emotion that will live long in the memory of everyone present. The band proved that they offer something quite unlike anyone else right now: a much needed burst of anarchic spirit as the shackles are removed, but also the articulation and wry wit to rally against injustice; plus a raw, eviscerating live show without the tropes of toxic masculinity. As lockdown eases, who better to soundtrack our new-found freedom?

One Step Closer - This Place You Know

Hardcore upstarts One Step Closer have announced their debut full-length, This Place You Know, due out September 24th from Run For Cover Records. Since their start only a few years ago the young Wilkes Barre, PA-based band have been steadily gaining momentum with a passionate and anthemic style of hardcore that's made them stand out from the pack. On This Place You Know the band fulfills that promise and builds on it with their most urgent and compelling set of songs to date.

We Were Promised Jetpacks - Enjoy The View

Scottish rock band We Were Promised Jetpacks have announced their new album 'Enjoy the View,' which will be released on September 10th via Big Scary Monsters. The band is also sharing a new single "Fat Chance," which follows up "If It Happens," released as a 7” earlier this month. The new single signifies a change in musical direction for the band, with "Fat Chance" an ode to overcoming, and even thriving, despite the odds.
