Broadway Calls is ready to unleash their first album for No Sleep Records, their third overall. Recorded at The Blasting Room with Bill Stevenson, you know right off the bat that this one is going to sound all nice and crispy.

You can tell that these guys have been around for a while already with them sounding as tight as ever and still equally urgent. “Comfort/Distraction” consists of 11 pop-punk anthems that are as hook-laden and melody-driven as you can expect from a pop-punk band. If you’re into the kind of songs that Green Day – or most of the Lookout roster in the 90s – used to crank out, then there’s really no going wrong with tracks like “Open Letter” and “Life Is Rhythm”.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
