Valient Himself has been the charismatic frontman for Valient Thorr for the last 22 years. He regularly does guest vocals with the Avett Brothers and has sung live or on albums with Motorhead, Mastodon, Red Fang, Gogol Bordello, Municipal Waste, Men Eater, Hjortene, Brief Lives, Heavy Temple and Fever Moon.

Modern Life Is War - Tribulation Worksongs

For 2024, Modern Life Is War present the Tribulation Worksongs sessions as a one 12"EP/Digital album. This release combines all three 7"EPs with "End Times Dub", a dub version of "Feels Like End Times", reimagined by Urian Hackney (Rough Francis, Iggy Pop, The Armed, etc). The packaging of the release is a combination of visual work from Jeffrey Eaton, Thomas Hooper, and J. Bannon.

Dead Years - Night Thoughts

German band, Dead Year, are set to release their new LP on Dirt Cult Records in North America and My Ruin Records in Europe.

Dead Years is a post-punk trio from Bielefeld, Germany. The band consists of Juiia, Hannes, and Jonas who have all played in other bands (Gloom Sleeper, Pointed, Ruins, Mayak, Shoyu Squad) before combining their talents and releasing a debut LP (Dirt Cult/My Ruin) in 2022.

Groovie Ghoulies - Lonely Heart Blues

Earlier this month, it was exactly 40 years ago that Kepi Ghoulie decided he wanted to form a band called Groovie Ghoulies. Luckily, the man isn't just a dreamer. And what better way to celebrate those 40 years than with long lost alternate recordings of some Groovie Ghoulies classics?!

This brand new Groovie Ghoulies 7" features two recently unearthed, unreleased recordings from 2006 by Kepi, Roach and Scampi of two World Contact Day-era classics: Lonely Heart Blues and Planet Brian Jones. KJ of Chixdiggit! even joins in for backing vocals on the latter!
