Jobs

Even though “Jobs” starts with the launch of the iPod in 2001, the story centers around Steve Jobs’ college years, his time spent at Atari, him launching Apple from a garage, then leaving the company in 1985 before returning in 1996 at the end of the movie. Briefly mentioned are the rivalry with Microsoft (in one scene) and the fact that for years Jobs refused to recognize his daughter. The biggest problem of “Jobs” is that writer Matt Whiteley never really digs below the surface. As a result this is more the story of the legend, not the man.
