Saying that this movie adaptation of the 1930s radio series didn’t do too well at the box office is kind of an understatement. It completely flopped. And even that is understating things. Critics even went as far as saying that this one was worse than Will Smith’s 1999’s “Wild Wild West” fiasco. Now, that’s saying something. Personally, I didn’t think it was just that bad but that’s mostly because this movie comes without a huge mechanical spider.
One of two films Paul Walker finished before he died in a car crash late last year is “Hours”, a movie that takes place in a New Orleans hospital just as Katrina is about to hit. Walker plays Nolan Hayes, a husband whose wife Abigail (Genesis Rodriguez) is rushed to the hospital when she goes into labor five weeks early. Unfortunately she dies while giving birth, leaving Nolan behind with their newborn baby who needs to be fed through an IV and is placed in a ventilator where she has to remain for at least 48 hours.
I wasn’t exactly in awe of Ex Friends’ previous release - the 5-song EP “No Wonder We Prefer The Dark” – which could’ve been left in the dark as well as far as I was concerned.
