Mogwai announced the release of KIN: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack; released on CD, vinyl and digitally on August 31. The album is composed of tracks recorded by the band for the score of the forthcoming sci-fi/crime drama. KIN is directed by Jonathan and Josh Baker, starring Jack Reynor, Zoë Kravitz, Carrie Coon, James Franco & Dennis Quaid.

Mogwai have already released their sprawling track "Donuts" and today release "We’re Not Done (End Title)", the final track from their soundtrack.

St. Louis’ Foxing will release their highly-anticipated third album, Nearer My God, on August 10. Created over the course of nearly 3 years, Nearer My God was produced in St. Louis and Montreal by Chris Walla (Death Cab For Cutie, The Decemberists) and Foxing guitarist and songwriter Eric Hudson, with help from Joe Reinhart (Hop Along, Modern Baseball).

The 10-track album will be released through Bearded Punk Records on August 3rd, available on vinyl, CD and digital download. To celebrate the news, the band have shared the lead single 'A Little Less Than OK'.

Blackpool’s BOSTON MANOR have announced the release date for their second studio LP, Welcome To The Neighbourhood (Out September 7, 2018 via Pure Noise Records).

Produced by Mike Sapone (Taking Back Sunday, Mayday Parade, Public Enemy), Welcome To The Neighbourhood is a soundtrack to disenfranchisement set in a fictionalized version of the band’s hometown.

Muncie Girls have announced that their hotly-anticipated second album ‘Fixed Ideals’ will be released on 31st August via Specialist Subject Records in the UK & Europe, Buzz Records in North America and Lost Boy Records in Australia. The album was produced by Muncie Girls’ longterm collaborator Lewis Johns (Funeral For A Friend, Rolo Tomassi, Gnarwolves) at The Ranch and mastered by Emily Lazar at The Lodge (Morrissey, Coldplay, Haim).

As the trio walked onstage in Kilmarnock, Scotland, their frontman noticed a solitary punter, three rows from the front, vigorously booing his band before a single amplified guitar chord had been struck. Each successive song in the set received the same vociferous, relentlessly hostile response. Two nights later, at Nottingham Rock City, the antagonist was back once more, front and centre, still booing, though with markedly less enmity than before.
