Den Of Thieves

I was looking forward to ‘Den Of Thieves’ because… well, who doesn’t like a good heist movie? But unfortunately it’s hard to describe ‘Den Of Thieves’ as good. Entertaining? Sure. But that’s about as far as I’m willing to go.

You Were Never Really Here

Scottish writer-director Lynne Ramsay doesn’t do comfortable. First there was 2011’s ‘We Need To Talk About Kevin’ about a mother who feels guilty about her son being responsible for a school shooting and now we have ‘You Were Never Really Here’ where we follow a hitman who is burnt out on all the violence and has to fight his suicidal thoughts.

Night Surf - Enemies

Born from the remnants of Brooklyn’s Habits in 2018, Night Surf takes a straight-forward, driving and hook splattered approach to the darker side of pop-punk.

Night Surf debuted with a digital EP, Blasted in 2017, produced and recorded by Jesse Cannon (The Menzingers, Man Overboard) at Cannon Found Soundation in Union City, NJ.

In their short tenure, the band has provided local support to touring acts like The Penske File, Typesetter, and makes frequent appearances in Asbury Park, NJ with band friends Latewaves and The Vansaders.

Death Valley Girls - Darkness Rains

Los Angeles doom boogie/dystopian punk/occult glam rockers Death Valley Girls today announce their third studio album Darkness Rains, out October 5th on LP, CD, cassette and digital formats via Suicide Squeeze. The announcement arrives with the Iggy Pop-starring video for the fierce new single “Disaster (Is What We’re After)” .

Saves The Day - 9

Saves The Day will be releasing 9, their first new album in five years, on October 26th via Rude Records and Equal Vision Records. 9 will be Saves The Day’s ninth studio record and contains nine songs that, when listened to together, tells the story of the band from the perspective of it’s founder, Chris Conley. The album offers this first ever autobiographical look into the band’s history in a way that is as exhaustive as it is poetic and makes the listener a part of the songwriting process.

The Strangers 2: Prey At Night

2008’s The Strangers was a relatively effective horror flick. Not the best horror movie to come out that year, definitely not the worst. Ten years down the line, we are being treated to The Strangers 2: Prey At Night, which isn’t really a sequel. It’s actually just more of the same. In that sense, saying that we are being treated to a sequel, isn’t correct either. That would entail that it is a pleasant experience.

Colorsfade - In Real Time

Canadian skatepunks Colorsfade are excited to announce the release of their debut LP "In Real Time". The 11-track offering is scheduled for release on August 30th via Thousand Islands Records and will be available through all digital platforms as well as on Digipak CDs. As a preview of what's coming up, the band just revealed a new track called "United for Our World".
