On their second album, Seattle’s Tacocat sound just as fun as their name suggests. It comes with the kind of short pop-punk bursts with surf-y guitars that waste no time getting to the point and which are as melodic as they are energetic. Oh, and we haven’t even mentioned Emily Nokes witty lyrics that deal with everything from the X-Files and feminism to cats and weed.

“Lost Time” is pretty much like a conversation with one of your best friends where things go from serious to hilarious in seconds. And regardless of what you’re talking about, you know it’s always going to be a helluva good time. Songs like “Dana Catherine Skully”, “I Love Seattle” and “The Internet” are just flawless and “Men Explain Things To Me” had me at the title.

Seriously, do yourself a favor and check out “Lost Time”. Nevermind the title, Tacocat’s second album is anything but a loss of time.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
