Germany’s Primetime Failure is back with a new 6-song EP. Aptly called Scars, the songs on this new release were inspired by some personal ups and downs, a member change and the general uncertainties of life.

Building on the framework of bands like Blink-182, Sum 41 or FenixTX, the Bielefeld quartet turns personal turmoil and life’s inevitable missteps into energetic, melodic songs that take the nostalgic punch of 90’s/00’s punk rock and wrap it in a modern jacket.

Tastefully weaving subtle, atmospheric synth lines into songs like opener “Not Well” or “Comet Trails”, Primetime Failure add an extra layer that shimmers and shines and works surprisingly well alongside their more conventional take on punk rock in songs like “Man Against Self” and “On The Way Down”.

With just six songs clocking in at 21 minutes, Primetime Failure cover a lot of ground on Scars and all of it sounds tasty as hell.
