As Friends Rust - Any Joy

As Friends Rust have announced their long-awaited new full-length, Any Joy, set for release August 18th on End Hits Records. The melodic punk and hardcore pioneers have created an impactful seven songs, marking their first new music since 2020 and first full album since 2001. Originally formed in the late ‘90s, As Friends Rust has been through a few iterations, but it is the core line-up of vocalist Damien Moyal, guitarist Joseph Simmons, guitarist James Glayat, and drummer Timothy Kirkpatrick that are creating thought-provoking melodic punk music for the modern age.

Bearings - The Best Part About Being Human

Bearings have announced their third album The Best Part About Being Human, due for release on August 18 via Pure Noise Records. Produced by Sam Guaiana (Silverstein, Between You & Me), the new album features the most tightly honed songwriting of Bearings’ near-decade career, instantly nostalgic for sweaty summer festivals and finger-pointed singalongs while serving as a clear indication of where the pop-punk genre is headed.

Meteor Police - NEW TYPE DESTROYER

NEW TYPE DESTROYER is the debut album for Ocean County NJ's Meteor Police. The band refers to themselves as post-punk which is kind of true but doesn't really capture their noise rock or occasional hardcore influenes. The music is heavily bass driven with precise drumming, unpredictable guitar lines, and (mostly) rapid-fire shouted vocals. For fans of Fugazi, Q and Not U, Shame, or really anything that is punk-adjacent and rhythm heavy.

Borderlines - Keep Pretending

Portland, Maine's Borderlines will release their first full-length this summer. The pop-punk band was formed in 2012 by former members of the power pop punk band The Leftovers, but up until this point has only released an EP and a handful of singles. An advance review of the record calls "Keep Pretending" a "four-chord pop punk ripper with hopeful harmonies and melancholic ethos."

The singles "Innocence Thrives," "How Many Hours," and "F.B.T." have already been released.

The Side Eyes - What's Your Problem

The Side Eyes are back with the follow up to their 2017 self-titled debut album and are asking the question What’s Your Problem? Anyone suspecting that the Southern California band may have mellowed out in the five years between albums will have those suspicions shattered within the first twenty seconds of the opening track Get Me Out. If anything, the band is now harder, faster and angrier than they were the first time around. Vocalist Astrid McDonald is in fiery fine form calling out everything from phonies to shit talkers to people that simply aren’t nice.
