Oakland, CA based States of Nature have announced a new full-length album, and an accompanying single. The album, titled Brighter Than Before, features 10 brand new songs, blending elements of post-hardcore, psych & garage, and straight up rock 'n roll.  The first single, "New Foundations", may have an uplifting dance punk vibe to it, but lyrically it is on the darker side.

Deep Sage, Gouge Away’s third studio album, started coming together in 2019 during sound checks and in small pockets of downtime between tours. In early 2020, they demoed songs with Brok Mende in an unassuming storage unit in Orlando, FL. Gouge Away pulled influence not only from the nostalgia of the bands they grew up listening to, but also developed a sense of urgency, noise, and introspective lyrics they felt most represented them. Those demos helped shape the songs into the finished record that Deep Sage would become.

On March 1, Brooklyn’s post-punk stalwarts SAVAK will release their new album Flavors Of Paradise on Ernest Jenning Recording Co. Today SAVAK is pleased to share "Leash Biter" the first track to be released from Flavors Of Paradise.

Ghost Work (featuring members / ex-members of Seaweed, Snapcase, Milemarker, and Minus The Bear) will release the new 11-track LP "Light a Candle for the Lonely" on March 8th via Spartan Records. You can stream the album's first single "Godspeed on the Trail" below.

Vocalist Aaron Stauffer says, "What can I say...this is literally my best singing performance and recording I've completed EVER since I began home recording. I would put this song up at the same level of some of my Seaweed favorites. It reminds me of The Cure doing an AC/DC cover."

The Promised End from Boston, MA might be described as misery soaked melodic hardcore. The music is aggressive with intent and melodic with purpose. It is urgently paced while deliberately shaped, retaining the jagged edges that define the hardcore/punk genre but molded by the hands of an experienced band. The sound is a love letter to the band's inspirations, an homage to 80’s Thrash, Early American Hardcore and Youth Crew. Expressions of personal grief, political frustration and a search for community in an age of isolation populate the vocals.

Sleater-Kinney have announced their anticipated new album, Little Rope, out January 19th on Loma Vista. The song’s remarkable one-shot music video, directed by Nick Pollet, features celebrated Australian freediver Amber Bourke holding her breath underwater for the song’s three and a half minute duration.

Following their 7" split in 2021 on Venn Records with Yr Poetry, Other Half and Yarraman, Grieving have announced their debut album "Everything Goes Right, All At Once". The album was recorded in part by Matty Moon (Lonely The Brave, Spielbergs) at Half Ton Studios and with Bob Cooper (The Orielles, Nai Harvest, Self Defense Family) at his Crooked Rain Studios in Leeds and will be out on By The Time It Gets Dark on March 15th.

Montreal’s The Speakeasy have announced their self-titled debut album, out January 19 via Thousand Islands Records (pre-order)asy.

Each track on their inaugural LP is a carefully crafted story, weaving together elements of nostalgia, passion, and a touch of the unknown. With their distinctive sound, The Speakeasy invites listeners into a world where musical boundaries dissolve.

Originating in the Bay Area, The Complicators first made waves with their debut EP and a split 7" with Empire Down. In the years since, the band worked hard at writing the songs that would eventually become this full length, rudely interrupted by the global pandemic, during which time their original drummer, Radu Poliac, moved away. Once live music was again viable, singer Quincy Atkinson, guitarist Matt Garcia, and bassist Sean Smith resumed with new drummer Cameron Wallace.
