Formed in Philadelphia in 2015, Oh, Are They? are a band comprised of Philly punk/post-hardcore/indie scene veterans who’ve performed in a variety of projects, including KRHISSY, Zolof The Rock & Roll Destroyer, I Am Alaska, The G, and more. The quartet performs well-crafted, though provoking post-hardcore punk. Today, we are premiering the band’s latest single, ‘Mistaken Identity,’ off their upcoming album, ‘Guilt,’ which will be out September 13th (pre-order).
“‘Mistaken Identity’ is about dealing with impostor syndrome and feeling uncertain and insecure about your true identity. Am I who I think I am or am I what others perceive me to be? Ultimately it is about perseverance, finding the courage to truly be yourself and to not let anyone else define you.” – Adam Eckhoff
With previous efforts i and ii, the band set out to document a series of unexplained urban legends and lore and their possible connections. The band’s forthcoming effort, ‘Guilt,’ spotlights a more personal side of the band. ‘Guilt’ was produced by J. Robbins and Oh, Are They? and mastered by Dan Coutant at Sun Room Audio.
