Season four of “The Walking Dead” starts off with the merry band of survivors holed up in their prison compound where every character has taken on a role: Carol is teaching the kids how to defend themselves, Daryl leads small groups on supply runs,… Rick on the other hand realized he had wandered a little too far off of the reservation and has taken a step back as a leader and mostly sticks to tending the garden.

Based on the French graphic novel “La Transperceneige”, Joon-ho Bong’s “Snowpiercer” plays out in the not too distant future and like most movies that take place in the not too distant future, things aren’t looking too good for us as a species.
