As far as introductions go, this one is pretty good. On their debut 7”, the members of NYC’s Pep Talk come at you with wildly buzzing guitars and slick melodies. And to make sure no one gets any funny ideas about the band’s influences, they not only included a Ramones medley of tracks from the ‘Road To Ruin’ album, they also got CJ Ramone to contribute vocals to ‘Trespass’.

Featuring members of The Young Rochelles, Sketchy, House Boat and The Steinways, these guys have all the experience you need to crank out some excellent pop-punk. And that’s exactly what they do on this 3-song release. Like what you hear? Lucky you, because the band’s full-length ‘Live, Laugh, Lobotomy’ will be out later this month.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
