Bad Religion has been around almost as long as I’ve been alive and while at age 33, I have an off day every now and again, these guys are still going at it like there’s no tomorrow. Need proof? Check out their latest album, “True North”.

Album number sixteen (!) kicks off with the title track and it’s instantly recognizable as nothing but Bad Religion. The lyrics, the guitars and the little backup choirs… it’s all trademark Bad Religion yet it does not sound stale. And that’s why when Greg Gaffin sings ‘let’s say we try to get this right’ in “Robin Hood In Reverse”, he sings it with all the conviction you need to join the cause.

There was a time when it seemed like the curtain was dropping over Bad Religion, but with their recent string of albums they’ve shown everybody that age really is nothing but a number.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
