On their 2024 debut This Is Moving Forward, Buffalo’s Autoignition tapped into the late-’90s/early-2000s emo-punk sound of bands like Saves The Day and Lifetime. Their new EP Against The World finds the band - Liam Ebers (vocals), Cooper Taylor (guitar), Leo Gastle (bass), and Quinn Ebers (drums) - doubling down on that style across five tracks of driving drums, melodic guitars, and high energy. While the band captures the spirit of the genre well, the songs do begin to blend together despite the EP’s short runtime.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
