25 Years ago I had never even heard of hardcore because I was only five years old.

Last year the Souls were celebrating their 20th anniversary. That’s 20 years of them spreading their punkrock anthems, touring their asses off and continually refining their sound.

The legendary Jello Biafra finally decided to start a whole new band, instead of collaborating with the Melvins or Pansy Division.

If I had to sum up everything I know in one hardcore album, it would probably suck. Because face it, I do really know a lot. I went to school. Honestly. And I read books and newspapers.

After recording “Coaster” – the band’s eleventh full-length – NOFX found themselves with a handful of leftover songs they didn’t feel like leaving behind on the cutting floor.

After the death of vocalist Shannon Hoon, Blind Melon left the stage center right with just two albums to their name.

Like The Marked Men who released their best album just as they called it a day, Nakatomi Plaza now does the exact same thing. And you know what? Both bands’ album was called “Ghosts”. Coincidence?

Simply put, Cloak/Dagger is an awesome band that has just released another awesome album.

Anytime people like Josh Homme, Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones get together to start a new band, expectations are going to run high, very high.
