Sly Stallone and his band of merry mercenaries are once again back at it in The Expendables 3. If you’ve seen the second installment of the franchise, you might have liked it as much as I did because… well, it was a fun popcorn movie where you got to shut down your brain for two hours. However, if you’re expecting this sequel to be of the same caliber, you are likely in for a disappointment.

Devil’s Knot

Devil’s Knot tells the story of the West Memphis Three, the Arkansas teenagers tried in the early nineties for the murder of three young children in spite of an almost complete lack of evidence. It definitely makes for a compelling story. The biggest problem with this Atom Egoyan-directed movie however is that there’s nothing left to tell we didn’t already know from the very thorough Paradise Lost documentaries, which make for a way more compelling view than this movie.

In The Blood

When you see Danny Trejo in a movie and think that he’s too good to star in it, you know you’re in for one seriously crappy movie. That’s the case with “In The Blood”, a flick with no redeeming value whatsoever.
