Oldboy

In Spike Lee’s remake of Park Chan-Wook’s classic revenge thriller, we follow Joe Ducette (Josh Brolin), a misanthropic ad executive with a drinking problem, as he finds himself locked up in a room after a drunken night on the town. There, he learns from a TV report that he has been framed for the rape and murder of his ex-wife. When he emerges as a killing machine hellbent on revenge after 20 years of sit-ups and yoga exercises, he finds himself dealing with a funky Samuel L.

Inside Llewyn Davis

Inside Llewyn Davis is a trip through the Greenwich Village folk scene of 1961 with the Coen brothers as your tour guides. With his guitar in tow, Llewyn Davis (Oscar Isaac) tries to overcome a lot of obstacles during a cold New York winter in order to make it as a musician.

Devil’s Due

Devil’s Due is yet another addition to the ever-growing found footage horror genre and pretty much yet another completely useless one. It deals with an expectant young couple - played by Zach Gilford and Allison Miller – who get into trouble as the wife’s delivery date gets closer.

Ender’s Game

Somewhere in the near future, a hostile alien race called the Formics attacked Earth. We would have been wiped out if it hadn’t been for the heroics of fleet commander Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley), who gave his life to save the human species. With Rackham gone, it’s up to colonel Hyrum Graff (Harrison Ford) to find and train the next Mazer. How does he do this? He takes kids that are good at video games and trains them. That’s where Ender Wiggin comes in (Asa Butterfield), yet another character with a name that sounds like it should’ve been used in The Hobbit.

That Awkward Moment

When Mikey (Michael B. Jordan) finds out that his wife wants to leave him, he turns to his buddies Jason (Zac Efron) and Daniel (Miles Teller) for help. Together they decide the best way to deal with this situation is to have a string of one-night stands with no attachment whatsoever. That’s the only way you can avoid ‘that awkward moment’ when a girl decides she wants to get serious. So they make a pact and hit the town together. But then it turns out that (OH MY GOD!) guys can fall in love!

Best Night Ever

Best Night Ever is the first original comedy by serial spoofers Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer (Scary Movie, Date Movie, Disaster Movie, Epic Fail Movie) even if I would hardly call this original. Or a comedy for that matter.
