Annabelle

Remember that creepy doll from “The Conjuring” that was on display in the basement of psychic investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren? Well, it got its own movie… Because director James Wan was too busy with Furious 7, he gave the job to John R. Leonetti, his go to cinematographer since “Dead Silence”. Maybe not the best idea… the guy’s previous experience as a director adds up to “Mortal Kombat : Annihilation” and “The Butterfly Effect 2”.

A Walk Among The Tombstones

To answer your question right away… yes, there are tombstones in this movie and yes, Liam Neeson walks among them. And shoots at people while doing so because Neeson is still in action star mode in A Walk Among The Tombstones, a movie based on Lawrence Block’s bestselling series of mystery novels. In his latest movie, Neeson plays Matt Scudder, an ex-cop who now works as an unlicensed private investigator. When asked by a drug dealer named Kenny Kristo (Dan Stevens) to help him find a bunch of miscreants who have kidnapped his wife.

Fury

For his latest movie director David Ayer (Street Kings, End Of Watch) moves the action from the streets of LA to WWII as the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre. A tired and battle-hardened army sergeant Don “Wardaddy” Collier (Brad Pitt) has killed Germans in Africa, France and Belgium and now he’s killing Germans in Germany. For his latest mission he has to take his Sherman tank and fiercely loyal crew on what is a near-suicide mission behind enemy lines where they are outnumbered and outgunned.
