Semi-Famous - Destroy Ourselves

From the mind of Screeching Weasel co-founder John Jughead Pierson (Even In Blackouts, The Mopes, Mitochondriacs), comes the creation of Semi-Famous, the fictional band from his 2001 book, Weasels In A Box. Now, over 20 years later, it’s being re-released on paperback and audiobook for the very first time. Voiced by Jughead himself, along with the debut full-length from Semi-Famous, Destroy Ourselves, will be available on Friday, July 26, 2024 via Rare Bird. Vinyl preorders are available on Bone Opaque Vinyl (Limited to 300 Copies) and Standard Black Vinyl.

Calling All Captains - (e)Motion Sickness

Edmonton-based quartet CALLING ALL CAPTAINS — Luc Gauthier (vocals); Brad Bremner (guitar); Connor Dawkins (guitar and vocals); and Tim Wilson (drums) — are thrilled to announce their new EP, (e)motion sickness, out July 19 via New Damage Records.

The band, whose music is a supremely catchy hybrid of pop punk and post-hardcore, has shared the video for the first single "wallflower." The song is as gritty as it is unforgettable, and it builds up to an epic breakdown that will incite mosh pits and singing along at once.

Heartwells - The New Old School

Southern California's Heartwells will be releasing the new full-length album 'The New Old School' digitally on June 28, followed by the vinyl release on June 29. The LP was recorded at Buzzbomb Studios with producer Paul Miner (New Found Glory, Atreyu, Thrice, Death By Stereo).

Heartwells consist of members: Justin "JT" Tauch (Vox/Guitar), Dave "Moki" Marino (Bass/Vox), Chris "Guinness" Stout (Drums/Vox), Sam "Skwid" Peterson (Guitar/Vox). Bringing in influences from every decade of punk, a little metal and a hair of ska, Heartwells sound is new yet familiar.
