Gradually morphing from a solo act to the full band they are today, Personality Cult was in the middle of recording their 2nd album when they were brought to the attention of Dirtnap through a tip-off from mutual friend Jeff Burke.

It’s power pop but not as you know it. Sonically it’s different… broken glass “out of this world” dreamy reverb-soaked surf guitar hooks cut across a garage punk Ozzy vocal line, which is pointedly melodic.

Catbite - Doom Garden

Philadelphia’s Catbite have released their first music in nearly three years, the infectious new single and lead track, “Die in Denver”, from their forthcoming release Doom Garden, out May 9th. To accompany the announcement, the band teamed with director Jak Kerley to make a somewhat NSFW music video, a campy homage to B-movie horror and the likes of Scooby Doo.

While playful and catchy on the surface, both the song and forthcoming release carry deeper meanings, as vocalist Brit Luna explains:
