It's been two years since The Carolyn released Harmful History - a three-song EP that includes a fantastic cover of "Salvation" by The Cranberries. The Atlanta-based trio write the kind of heart-on-your-sleeve punk that launched the careers of bands such as The Gaslight Anthem and The Menzingers. However, in the spirit of Joyce Manor, The Carolyn keep their anthemic songs mostly under the two-minute mark. Their upcoming album, Pyramid Scheme of Grief, is eleven tracks of fine-tuned indie-punk and clocks in at around nineteen minutes.

Maryland rock band Have Mercy announced their long-awaited sixth studio record the loneliest place i’ve ever been, set for release on August 29th via Rude Records. Along with the news, they unveiled the album’s first single, the cathartic “august 17” with an accompanying music video. 

Emo/Alternative group Sunday Morning has announced their debut full length album Eternal Grief, set to be released on October 31st via Open Your Ears Records.

White Reaper are back! Kentucky's loudest export have joined the Blue Grape Music roster and today they're announcing their new record, Only Slightly Empty. Runnner’s sophomore full-length, A Welcome Kind of Weakness, emerged from a simultaneous tear in songwriter Noah Weinman’s body and life. Written during the months spent bedridden and healing from a torn achilles and the drastic upheaval of a breakup, the 11 songs on this record are Weinman’s most bracing, inviting the perceived vulnerability of the album’s title willingly. But at the same time, these songs are Runnner’s most present, defiant and self-assured, a reminder of the resolve that can come from gracefully accepting submission.

Freezing Cold today announce their sophomore album Treasure Pool due out August 1 via Don Giovanni Records. Inspired by '90s alternative and indie sounds, the new collection challenges classic "rock radio" structure while also embracing it. With bouncing percussion, indie-pop guitar licks and tender vocal harmonies, album opener “Backlight” – out today alongside an official video – was inspired by the discovery of an old box of undeveloped film and what surfaces from reflecting on the past through the unearthed images.
