We are premiering Boston’s BADTERMS' brand new single '2,000 Tons,'—a heavy-hitting dose of Skinhead Rock’n’Roll that proves why this band is quickly carving out a name for themselves.
Though they’re relative newcomers, BADTERMS’ sound carries the grit, swagger, and pedigree of seasoned veterans. Originally conceived as a remote studio project during the COVID lockdowns by Curt Florczak (Boston) and Hans Molnar (AZ) - both long active in Garage Punk outfits like B-MOVIE RATS and CANDY SNATCHERS - the group has since exploded into a full-fledged band with momentum to spare.
Post-pandemic, BADTERMS wasted no time hitting the stage and studio. Their releases on Lionheart Records (Germany) and relentless touring schedule—most recently a debut European run capped off at Spain’s Beach, Beer & Chaos Festival—have already earned them a loyal following on both sides of the Atlantic.
Now, with their domestic debut LP Panic Age set for release via TKO Records, the band is ready to take things up another notch. The album compiles the best of their hard-to-find European EPs - most of which are out of print - and packages them into a record that calls back to the golden era of TKO’s own catalog. Expect a gut-punch blend of ’77 Punk, Bootboy Glam, and full-on Bovver Rock.
In the middle of the current Oi! resurgence, BADTERMS stand tall with a style and authenticity that puts them alongside contemporaries like LOOSEY and GIUDA. With “2,000 Tons” leading the charge, this is Skinhead Rock’n’Roll at its finest.
TKO Records sums it up best: “Don’t bother asking ‘where have all the bootboys gone?’—we’ve got ‘em right here.”
