New Jersey's Graduation Speech has released a new EP that reflects on growing older and keeping a creative flame burning. I Answered b/w North America: 1991 is the other side of the coin of the band's previous release, Arcane Feelings, that was released by Protagonist Inc. in March 2024. These two songs were written and recorded in Day's apartment and opt for minimal production value. Still, "I Answered" and "North America: 1991" show all the hallmarks that have made Graduation Speech both endearing and enduring.

"This EP is a message in a bottle to myself. The songs were written and recorded in the apartment that my wife and I just recently moved from after living there for 10 years. Additionally, I'm turning 40 this week and 26 of those years have been spent finding the magic in a few chords and something to say. " - Kevin Day

New Jersey’s Graduation Speech was conceived when Kevin Day sought a quieter creative outlet separate from his band Aspiga. Though the intimate acoustic project differed dramatically from Aspiga’s brand of blown-speaker pop-punk, it opened new doors for Day as a songwriter.
