Punk rock band Gone Stereo have released their new single “Natalie,” the latest release from a collection of songs that have remained unreleased for some time.

Despite its title, “Natalie” is not about a person named Natalie. The name is derived from the phrase “Not Another Lie,” which reflects the central theme of the song. Written around frustration, regret and memories, the track deals with reaching a point where the same excuses and lies are no longer accepted.

The song looks back at past experiences while also focusing on the possibility of moving forward. It forms part of a group of previously recorded material that Gone Stereo originally intended to release earlier, but which was delayed by circumstances outside the band’s plans.

“Natalie” will be followed by a five-song EP featuring material from the same period. The EP brings together songs that explore different sides of the band while retaining the melodic guitars, emotional vocals and punk-driven energy associated with Gone Stereo’s sound.

Rather than marking a significant change in musical direction, the upcoming EP represents the final release of material from a particular period in the band’s development. The songs were written and recorded with the intention of being released and are now being made available after a longer-than-planned wait.
