Just in time for their annual piligrimage to The Fest, Pittsburgh’s World’s Scariest Police Chases are back with a new album. That’s ten new tracks of musical mayhem wrapped up in one neat, little package named ‘Tell My Mom And Dad I Love My Mom’.
Musically, they remind me of a less polished version of Set Your Goals with some dollops of Suicide Machines and No Trigger added for good measure. It’s loud, chaotic and describing them as in-your-face sounds like an understatement. Yet, there’s plenty of melody to be found in the riff-heavy chaos that is a World’s Scariest Police Chases song. And while they obviously have a sense of humor (remember 2015’s ‘Adolf Hipster’?), the songs hit hard with unapologetic commentary and plenty of snark.
