Bay Area underground scene veteran Joel Cusumano has unveiled the official music video for "Stigmata," the latest single taken from his upcoming EP, APPENDIX. Scheduled to land on September 11 via Dandy Boy Records, the EP follows up Cusumano's 2025 debut album, WAXWORLD.

Directed by Cusumano himself, "Stigmata" is a Pixies-inspired post-punk scorcher that tackles themes of power, manipulation, and addiction.

"I had in mind certain Christian holy men who were rumored to have rubbed acid into their palms to produce a false stigmata," Cusumano shares regarding the track's origins.

The four-track EP merges literate, emotionally charged lyrics with angular post-punk and '90s alt-indie pop melodies, drawing influence from left-of-the-dial favorites like Silver Jews, Gang of Four, Ultravox, and The Replacements.

APPENDIX features contributions from a stacked backing unit, including members Brett Austin Eastman (Andy Human & The Reptoids), Ela Keilt (The Letterwriters), Owen Kelley (Cyan Pools), and Julie Barwick (Latitude), with engineering handled by Rob Good.
