Sacramento’s Trash Talk is a hardcore band with the emphasis on ‘hard’. Since their inception in 2005, they have dropped a string of releases but this eponymous release is their first full-length. Bonecrushing oldschool is the name of their game and while the album is only 14 minutes long, it’ll take you a whole lot longer to recover. Especially after the closing track “Revelation”, which will have you thinking that your speakers simply gave up. Produced by Steve Albini, the album has a very organic sound but most of all this monster sounds dirty and dark as fuck. These guys do play hardcore like the sludgy incarnation of Black Flag did but you can certainly draw comparisons to grindcore as well with all of the sick fast parts that they like to use. But most of all, these dudes sound pissed as all hell. Kinda like the much-missed Cursed. Not for the weak at heart but highly rewarding if you’re up for it!

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
