Trash Talk found a new home for themselves over at Odd Future, the label started by Tyler, The Creator. Not only did he offer these guys a deal, he also contributes to the song “Blossom & Burn”, a sludgy affair that you’ll find halfway through the album.

It’s something that you will hear more of on “119”. Not Tyler… the sludgy part. Trash Talk seem to have slowed things down and added a ton of groove instead. Hell, they even included choruses and – yikes! – bridges this time around. Not to worry though… these guys are still pissed off as fuck and spit bile all around while the riffs are shredding everything in sight. But if a song like “Apathy” would be played on the radio, there is a chance not too many listeners would change the station.

It’s not like this Sacramento-based outfit is reinventing hardcore… not quite yet at least… they’re still equally heavy but in a different way. I for one am already looking forward to see what they’ll come up with next!

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
