Album Reviews
Following hot on the heels of last year’s self-titled album, The Phase Problem is already back with their sophomore album, ‘The Power Of Positive Thinking’. Featuring Flav Giorgino (Squirtgun), John Bonnar (PAWS), Alex Keane (The Murderburgers, City Mouse) and also packing guest appearances by Heather Tabor (ex-TEEN IDOLS), Matt Hart (NEVERNEW, SQUIRTGUN), Bruce Stuckey (TOXIC REASONS) and Vess Ruhtenberg (TOXIC REASONS, ex-ZERO BOYS, ex-LEMONHEADS), this is quite the gathering of pop punk veterans of both the UK and US scene.
Expect 14 solid tunes influenced by everything from the Ramones and Screeching Weasel to Groovie Ghoulies and the Dwarves to name just a few. There’s plenty of different things going on here, none of which haven’t already been done before plenty of times. Still a pretty fun way to spend half an hour though.
