An Atlanta based O’Brother’s “Endless Light”, their third full-length album and second on Triple Crown Records, is a moody, gothic, dissonant record full of rising action. Typically, I love a song with a slow build towards a big, brash crescendo, but the first half of this record missing the mark.

However, “Bloodlines”, the sixth song, begins a small turning point for me on this album. The second part of the album features strong guitar riffs, melodic dark drums and haunting vocal choirs. The latter half of the album is reminiscent of B-sides from a Muse album.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
