Moving Mountains (or MovMou if you’re a die-hard fan) is back with a new album. A self-titled one. Which is often done when a band is veering off in a new direction. And that just happens to be the case here as well. No more post-hardcore like on 2011’s “Waves”… this time these guys have created a rather subdued album and at the same time, their most straight-forward rock album to date. The band dishes out some beautiful sounds that go well with Greg Dunn’s hoarse vocals and the little extras that pop up all over the album (like the bells in “Burn Pile”, the vocals in the chorus of “Seasonal” or the beautiful solo in “Hudson”) make it all even better. Perfect album to listen to on a night drive…

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
