Six years after their last album, King Khan is back with his Shrines for some more funked up, souled up tunes that will get you shaking in no time. He’s not offering us anything new on “Idle No More”, but damn, these songs are catchier than the clap!

This Indian-Canadian rocker knows how to write some solid songs… whether it’s the horns-enhanced single “Bite My Tongue” or the female vocals of “Pray For Lil”, it’ll be a party. Okay, so it’s maybe not quite as good as predecessor “What Is?”, but it’s still good to see the guy is back in shape after not  doing so well following the death of three close friends and a reportedly nasty argument with long-time collaborator Mark “BBQ” Sultan.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
