Oklahoma’s Fossil Youth have a new EP out called “Intertwined With You”. It has four songs on it that aren’t too shabby, even if they aren’t exactly original. Opening track “From The Window” and “Wick” are pretty in your face with a slightly more abrasive sound, but the band will just as well slow things down a notch on songs like “Silver Tongue” and the title track. It’s not that these songs are bad, but I had the hardest time remembering anything about them as soon as they were done. Or maybe that’s just Alzheimer setting in.

Reminiscent of Citizen and Turnover, this emo-ish pop-punk act do what they do fairly well but fail to make much of a lasting impression. They got the chops, but still need to find their own voice.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
