Five masked Japanese dudes? That has got to make for some weird shit! And yes, these guys don’t let us down on their self-titled album in which they mix everything from dance, pop, hardcore, metal and emo. Preferably within one and the same song. But here’s the thing… most of the time it actually works.

Unlike most acts who sound forced trying to cram loud guitars and dance elements together, this one actually feels pretty natural. And if it doesn’t fit, they simply leave out the things that go bleep in the night. It all sounds very American even though the vocals are kinda funny. I first didn’t even notice that the lyrics were in English!

If you’re one of those people who lives on energy drinks, then this one might be for you even though the album does get old after a couple of listens. But hey, with your attention level you’ll probably have moved on to other bands by then!
