Camiches
6.0
Formed in Mexico City, Camiches has been building a reputation for themselves since 2013 with their mix of hardcore, post-hardcore and punk rock, something they themselves have dubbed ‘Feeling Core’. They recently signed with Wiretap Records, making them the label’s first non-English signing, and have now released a new self-titled 4-song EP.
Fans of of Basement, Balance And Composure and Title Fight might want to give this one a spin. Musically, everything is tight as can be… hard-hitting drums, solid riffage. It’s all there. My only qualm are the vocals, which feel a bit too drawn out and come off as a separate thing rather than gelling with the music.
