Beach Goons - hoodratscumbags

Hailing from San Diego's Logan Heights neighborhood, Beach Goons was the brainchild of Pablo Cervantez, the band's vocalist, guitarist, and sole constant member. Beach Goons started innocently enough with Cervantez and a couple friends picking up instruments and playing out, hitting up any place that would have them, from their middle school to Logan Heights' library. As the band grew, their sound evolved with them.

Supersuckers - Suck It

"We've finally become the band that we've always threatened to be," says singer-bassist Eddie Spaghetti, calling, as ever, from the road. With the Supersucker odometer clicking on three decades this very year, the self-proclaimed Greatest Rock n' Roll Band in the World is marking the occasion with a loud, resounding Suck It.

Subways On The Sun - Capsize

While the band set sail with its shimmering guitar-pop debut The Honeymoon Stagecoach in 2013, their sophomore album, Capsize, steers a course into grittier territory. Capsize is a collection of songs which showcases a fresh artistic trajectory, and follows our collective struggle to accept the passage of time and identify the voices in our lives that are worth listening to. And it’s immediately evident as anthemic opener “Just To Be With You” channels the heart racing spirit of Muse, with a riff-heavy synth-forward energy that rips through the whole record.

Drug Church - Cheer

Punk rock agitators Drug Church have announced their upcoming third full-length, 'Cheer', due out November 2nd on Pure Noise Records. 'Cheer' finds the band amplifying their seemingly contradictory strengths to somehow make their most accessible work to date. Lead single 'Avoidarama' showcases Drug Church's skill at deftly combining pummeling riffs with undeniable hooks, while its Ian Shelton-directed video interprets frontman Patrick Kindlon's sardonic storytelling with a subject who plays dead to avoid awkward interactions.

Basement - Beside Myself

Basement have announced details of their new LP BESIDE MYSELF, which will be released October 12th on Fueled By Ramen. The band has also shared the new track, “Disconnect,” which is streaming below.

Basement’s Andrew Fisher commented on “Disconnect” explaining, “This song was one of the first we wrote over two summers ago and we knew very early on that it would be a song we would enjoy playing live.”

Red Sparrow

After guiding her through the last three Hunger Games installments, director Francis Lawrences teams up once again with Jennifer Lawrence for spy flick Red Sparrow.

Based on the first part of Jason Matthews’ trilogy of novels, Red Sparrow is built around Dominika Egorova, a ballet dancer for the Bolshoi whose career is tragically cut short in the opening sequence, which is set against an equally carefully constructed meeting between first-tour CIA agent Nate Nash (Joel Edgerton) and one of his informants.
