Santa Cruz-based hardcore punk band Scowl has released a pummeling new single and video “Bloodhound”. The song will be featured on their upcoming LP How Flowers Grow, out November 19th on Flatspot Records. Clocking in at just over 90 seconds, “Bloodhound” is a breakneck exploration of punk sensibility with a vicious, angular edge. The band hurtles through the performance while remaining in complete control of the chaos, perfectly supporting the fiery vocal performance from lead singer Kat.

Power trio rationale. reveal the single, “Same Old”, which is featured on their sophomore album, If The Problem Persists. “Same Old” is a track about breaking up your daily routine, and fighting with your emotions to find excitement outside of your daily life. The release of the track comes with the announcement of the band’s signing to acclaimed indie label, Smartpunk Records, with vinyl set for shipping in early 2022.

For the first time, Tanner Jones is slowing down. After nine years of moving fast with his Florida punk band, You Blew It!, and four years since they called it quits, Jones makes his return to music with Couplet. Joined by past collaborators Evan Weiss (Into it. Over it.) and Adam Beck (Sincere Engineer), the project's debut LP1 introduces a more gentle, careful, and intricate sort of songwriting––especially for those more accustomed to hearing Jones backed by a maximalist adrenaline rush of guitars and crashing drums.

A lot of bands put out records last year that they didn't get a chance to tour on. One of those was Columbus, OH breakouts Snarls, whose debut Burst was released just a week ahead of nationwide lockdowns and mass tour cancellations.

But not only did Snarls not get a chance to tour, they barely got a chance to be a band; and while music critics and fans alike fell head over heels for their hazy emo-pop, Snarls regrouped. "We had time to stew on this new aura our band has," vocalist Chlo White says.

Billy Talent announced a release date for their forthcoming album CRISIS OF FAITH.  The ten track LP was produced entirely by the band’s guitarist and main songwriter, Juno-nominated producer Ian D’Sa, in the band’s Toronto studio and was mixed by the legendary Chris Lord-Alge. The album will drop on January 21, 2022.
