Baltimore hardcore outfit Praise (featuring members of Turnstile, Angel Du$t, and Mindset), have released a new EP a couple of days ago. “Leave It All Behind” comes with seven songs, and just like on the band’s previous releases, these tracks are all about showing their less aggressive style. Don’t get me wrong, this is still hardcore, but the mid-80s DC variety. Think Dag Nasty and Embrace. No chugga chugga riffs.

Tunes like “Crash Into My Life” and the title track are decidedly more melodic and bolder than before, the brooding “Walk To The Edge” is more proof of how these guys have grown as a band, and that cover of Egg Hunt’s “We All Fall Down”, rounds out this EP in the best of ways.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
