Germany's Melonball returns swinging with their new single, “Garbage Day,” out now on Thousand Islands Records (CAN) and Rookie Records (GER). The track serves as the first glimpse of their highly anticipated sophomore album, set for release in early 2026.

“Garbage Day” is a blistering, no-compromise call-out to hate-driven, right-wing forces. Fueled by fast, technical riffs, precision drumming, and anthemic vocal hooks, MELONBALL deliver a clear message: racism, discrimination, and bigotry have no place here. This is punk rock with teeth – fierce, urgent, and unapologetic.

“This song is about taking out the trash – confronting lies, hate, and the social decay they cause,” says vocalist Oli Barth-Jurca. “We’re not backing down, and this is just a taste of what’s coming next.”

Known for their relentless energy and sharp-edged songwriting, MELONBALL have carved out a strong presence in the international punk scene. They’ve hit stages at Ruhrpott Rodeo, Manchester Punk Festival, Mighty Sounds, Mission Ready, Punk Rock Holiday, and Music 4 Cancer, sharing bills with acts like A Wilhelm Scream, Belvedere, Lagwagon, Authority Zero, and The Iron Roses. After a UK tour in 2023 and a 10-show Canadian run in 2024, they’ll team up with Satanic Surfers for a four-date tour in November 2024.

Their 2023 debut album BREATHE established MELONBALL as one of Europe’s most promising melodic hardcore outfits, followed by their acoustic EP eup•nea in 2024. With “Garbage Day,” they’re louder, faster, and more uncompromising than ever.
