Essex two-piece The Meffs are back with "Clowns" (produced and and mixed by Frank Turner), their dynamic first new single from their upcoming to-be-announced album. "Clowns" is out now on Bottles to the Ground.

On "Clowns", we hear The Meffs still fighting the inequality around England, but as bands do, their sound is maturing, and they are finding more confidence in their art. The guitars are now distorted and groovier.

“Lily’s take on British politics, which will resonate with much of the gen pop in society as she highlights the reality of what’s going on – and going wrong – with the government. From the state of the NHS to transphobia, Lily says it how it is, which is just what you expect from The Meffs as they sing about the people, for the people. The Meffs have played this song live prior to its release, and from the first play, it was clear this was a sing-a-long, audience participation song, which fans of The Meffs love to get involved in just before the mosh kicks off (see music video). “Doo, do-do-do-do-do, do-do-do-do-doo” – try not to shout along, dare you!

Since making their mark with their EPs "Broken Britain PT. 1" and "Broken Britain PT. 2" in 2023, The Meffs have exploded on the punk scene! After they were invited to join Frank Turner on his 2021 Lost Evenings Festival, The Meffs have gone from strength to strength, playing Rebellion in 2022 and Download Festival in 2023. Now they are hitting the road again with NOFX for their final Europe run, opening for Alice Cooper around England this October and joining The Interrupters for two dates in Germany this summer and countless Festivals around Europe!
