Kiss The Scientist have released their new single, "Life You Want," now available on all major streaming platforms. Stream it here.
Blending elements of rock and Midwestern emo, the track has been described as appealing to fans of Manchester Orchestra and Hot Mulligan. The single features drums recorded by Kyle Black (Paramore, New Found Glory), was mixed by Vince Ratti (Tigers Jaw, Title Fight, The Menzingers), and mastered by Adam Cichocki (Snarls, Casey).
"Life You Want", started as most other songs do, as a demo I made in my garage about navigating one of many aspects of life at 23-25 years old. Feeling inspired by relationships and the weight of being a young adult, "Life You Want", to me, is the idea of, "I can't stop thinking about this person. I absolutely NEED this person. What am I gonna do to make sure I have them by my side forever?" Once we take the basic idea of the song into the studio, that's where we really get to put our brains together to figure out how we convey the lyrical emotion into the instrumentation - and vice versa. Along with the minds of our producer Matt Wiggers, and our first ever experience with Kyle Black, I think that the inspiration and overall excitement and energy of getting to work on this song really shines through. - Max Tomack-Villalobos (Vocals, Guitar)
"Life You Want" will appear on the band's upcoming full-length album, which is currently in production and has yet to be officially announced.
