toyGuitar is one of the latest additions to Adeline’s roster. Its members however are not exactly new to the scene. Featuring One Man Army’s Jack Dalrymple and Brandon Pollack along with Swingin Utters’ Miles Peck, this band is like a who’s who of San Francisco’s punkrock scene.
On their self-titled EP they jangle their way through four songs in the most uncomplicated of fashions and with plenty of rock n roll swagger. The thumping bass lines, sweet guitar licks and straight-forward drums coupled to Jack’s vocals make for a pretty solid collection of songs that are over way too soon. ‘Nothing’s gonna happen to us’ they sing out in opener “Words Between Us”… well, except for getting noticed if there’s any justice left in the world.
Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
