24 Years after they windmilled their way into the hardcore scene, Terror is still going strong on Still Suffer, the band’s tenth full-length, which packs ten new kicks to the face that check all the band’s signature boxes.

Working with producer (and former guitarist) Todd Jones, Scott Vogel & co bang out crushing riffs and pummeling drums like there’s no tomorrow, while taking conciseness to the next level. The album barely crosses the 20 minute mark, but they consistently hit the spot, especially on cuts like the groove-laden ‘Fear The Panic’ (featuring Hot Water Music’s Chuck Ragan), the relentless title track and the blast of pure rage that is ‘Promised Only Lies’.

The only misstep is the bloated outro on “Deconstruct It,” which feels out of place on an otherwise razor-tight record. As long as you’re not expecting reinvention (why would you?), Still Suffer gets the job done.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
